Mandira Bedi was in town on Friday to inaugurate the new showroom of Gaja Heritage, which is the brainchild of Sumona Parekh of Shree Ganesh Jewellers.There was an informal fashion show to display the creations at Galaxy, The Park, where Mandira Bedi turned heads as the showstopper. She looked stunning in a red off-shoulder dress teamed with a neckpiece inspired by Indus Valley and Harappa in coral, ruby and uncut diamonds. “Each piece of our jewellery is modern with a heritage feel.
When one wears these creations, it seems that each piece has tumbled out of our great grandma’s jewellery box,” said Sumona. Mandira couldn’t stop cheering the models as they flaunted exclusively handcrafted jewellery, which were simple yet eyecatching. The best part of these jewellery pieces are that they are contemporary and have been reworked on older ideas. The actor-anchor who happily posed for the shutterbugs said, “I love coming to Kolkata and please don’t miss my exquisite neckpiece!”
