Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh rock as a couple in Band Baaja Baaraat (BBB); they also displayed endearing warmth towards each other when promoting the film.Anushka, who recently bought a house in Mumbai's Yari Road and was painstakingly doing it up, has suddenly decided to relocate to Bandra, where Ranveer Singh happens to stay.
Anushka says the only reason she wants to move to Bandra is because it reminds her of Bangalore.
She told Mid Day that she didn't even know Ranveer lived in Bandra.
"I thought he stayed in Khar," she said.
Which is surprising, because while in Delhi to promote BBB in October, Anushka told Sawfnews.com that Ranveer "is a Bandra boy."
So the suspicion lingers. Are Anushka and Ranveer a couple?
"We are buddies. We hit it off from Day 1 probably because we're both not industry kids," Anushka tells Mid Day.
"As outsiders trying to find a foothold in the industry, I think we empathized with one another from the beginning," she adds.
To emphasize that her relationship with Ranveer doesn't go beyond camaraderie, Anushka reverts to her Shruti Kakkar pragmatism.
"Pardon me for saying so, but real-life couples just don't work on screen," she says.

While Anushka's political correctness can be faulted, she does make a point. It happens to be the same point that Kareena often makes when explaining why she and Saif aren't in any hurry to get married.
Anyway, a lot of girls smitten by Ranveer in Band Baaja Baaraat are going to be relieved by what Anushka has to say, if only they believe her.
