Break Ke Baad actor Imran Khan had recently made a seemingly sarcastic comment about actress Sonam Kapoor. In his stint with ‘Koffee with Karan’, Karan Johar had asked Imran what advice would he like to impart to Sonam and Imran had replied that she should do more movies and less magazine covers.

Of course, Sonam has, hitherto, done only 4 movies in ‘Saawariya’, ‘Delhi 6’, ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ and ‘Aisha’ and Imran’s comment may have been made in good humour. However, Sonam is a no-nonsense girl and she hasn’t taken his remarks too lightly.
Now she has retorted back by suggesting that Imran still has a lot to do before making such statements. Sonam has also clarified that she has dome merely 3 magazine covers this year. She pompously goes on to state that may be she has had such an impact that people always feel her presence.

Sonam also goes on to make a point that the biggest stars in the world (including the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Rekha and Sharmila Tagore) were all fashion icons.

Sonam had earlier called Aishwarya Rai ‘an auntie’ and shot back at Shobha De by addressing her as an ‘old fossil’. Sonam, certainly, seems to be a loudmouthed gal. So mess with her at your own peril!

Sushmita Sen in 'No Problem'

In Anees Bazmee’s next flick No Problem, Sushmita Sen is playing the role of an individual with split personality.

Buzz is that she plays the daughter of the commissioner of police and Anil Kapoor’s wife who is so fed up with his demeanor that she develops a split-personality disorder.

The after effects of this disorder are so grave that for 10 minutes every day she turns completely violent and sets out to kill her poor husband. During one such fit, she reportedly runs after Anil with a sword and fights to take his life as he tries to defend himself with anything and everything that he can get hold of!

Once she is over the fit she is back to her perfectly normal self and becomes the ideal wife who prays that her husband mends his ways! Sen handled the entire stunt required for the scene on her own.

Looks like Sen’s tryst with the sword will be going a long way, since she will be taking to the sword again in her next film which is on the lines of Jhansi Ki Rani.

Tabu and Madhur Bandarkar

Inspiration comes in different forms and from various people…. And here we meant this for Madhur Bhandarkar.

Down his career graph, the ace filmmaker has brought out movies based on realities – films which are inspired from real life and incidents. After give serious films (Page 3, Corporate, Chandni Bar and Fashion among others), Bhandarkar diverted his path towards light-hearted genre – result is his forthcoming rom-com ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ (DTBHJ).

And what made him to take on this new flavour? When asked him, the helmer revealed that it was because of Tabu.

The first look unveil of DTBHJ took place amidst high fanfare at Cinemax, in Mumbai, on 27th Nov. Besides Madhur, the event was attended by co-producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Omi Vaidya, Shazahn Padamsee, Shraddha Das and other technicians.

There Madhur interacted with the media and shared further that during the making of ‘Chandni Bar’, its lead actress Tabu suggested him to make a comedy. However, it took him nearly ten years to materialise it. Now he hopes that the film gets as much success as his earlier projects.

However, the director added that DTBHJ is in no way inspired from anything and is purely fictional. "My cinema has always been hard-hitting and real. This is a comedy but everyone will be able to relate to the subject. For the first time, my film is not inspired by any newspaper clippings or real life incidences. This story is fictional but can be anyone's story. It has a good blend of humour and realism," stated Bhandarkar.

Also starring Shruti Haasan, DTBHJ is scheduled to hit the screens on 28th January, 2011.

For the records, the title ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ was initially with veteran Shatrughan Sinha. Later when Bhandarkar requested him, Sinha readily gave the title to the filmmaker.

Tanushree in RAAMA-THE SAVIOUR

Tanushree Dutta made a very striking debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE. He looks and oomph factor gave her instant fame. She has been in the industry for five years now and is all set for her forthcoming film RAMAA-THE SAVIOUR, which stars wrestler Khali. But strangely she hasn't met him.

Reveals Tanushree, 'I didn't get an opportunity to work with Khali. His scenes were with Sahil and the kids. I wanted to meet him. But I still haven't got the opportunity to meet him. He has added a lot of value to the film. He is very popular among the kids. I hope to meet him before the film releases.'

Tanushree is glad that the film is finally releasing after being stuck for very long. 'RAMAA-THE SAVIOUR is a very special movie and very close to my heart. That's because this film has suffered the most. For various reasons, this film got stuck for three years. It's very disheartening. But now it's releasing finally. So I am happy,' she says with a smile.

Tanushree will be seen doing some crazy action scenes in the film. She states, 'I learned Taekwondo for 15 days. I was quite excited when we shot the film for two and a half months. I have attempted some very difficult stunts. If today someone asks me to do those stunts then maybe I won't do them.'

We have mostly seen Tanushree in a glamorous role. This being a children's film, will we see her deglam avatar? 'My character is of an action girl. She is smartly dressed girl. But we have obviously kept the sensibilities of the genre in mind. So there's no romantic angle between any of the characters.'

So, is she happy with the way her career has progressed? 'I'm pretty happy with the way my career has shaped up. I have done comedy, horror, and even romantic films till now. I have got meaty and substantial roles. I don't want to change my glamorous image,' she states firmly.

South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan is very happy with the way her acting career is shaping up down south. 'Break ke Baad' Movie Review

Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan starrer ‘Break Ke Baad’ is a film that reminds at times of the mushy love stories that have gained immortality in Bollywood. From DDLJ to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to the modern Love Aaj Kal, BKB has snippets from each film.

However, director Danish Aslam fails to bring any freshness into the story and ends up making a film that can be given a miss. Abhay (Imran) and Aaliya (Deepika) are childhood buddies and get into a relationship as they move towards adulthood.
But while Abhay is a guy with no immediate ‘Lakshya’, Aaliya is highly ambitious and aspires to be an actress. The duo decide to give their relationship a break after Aaliya decides to move to Australia to pursue her career.

Later on, she feels nostalgic, lonely and realizes her love towards Abhay. The story, as you can see, is not free from flaws. The switching off and switching on of a relationship hasn’t been convincingly portrayed. Though the protagonists Imran and Deepika put up a commendable performance, poor writing and mediocre direction strikes a deathblow to the film.

Music is forgettable and cinematography acceptable. One may watch this movie just for a time pass but it seriously lacks the makings of a memorable drama.

A R Rahman tunes for the new Airtel 3G service

Internationally renowned Indian cinema music composer A R Rahman has composed the jingle of the latest video ad for Airtel 3G service in India being launched by the end of this year.

The ad features a street-dancer on a walkway very much like any city in the industrialized world dancing to a foot-tapping ad song, and a smart phone device at the end. The references in the ad to "Hamari Duniya" (i.e. "our world") is a bit disconnected from the context of an Indian ad for a service in India.

Aamir Khan versus Shah Rukh Khan

The year 2011 could very well be the decisive year in the Shah Rukh Khan-Aamir Khan battle for one-upmanship. If all goes according to plan, next year both the superstars will go international with a film each by two of the most celebrated directors on the global map.

What gives the global war of the Khans a cutting edge is the striking similarity in location of the two proposed projects. Both films are set in Mumbai, with the city playing as large a role in the script as each of the Khans.

While Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is ready to adapt Suketu Mehta's celebrated novel, Maximum City to screen, Aamir is set to play the lead in Paul Schrader's X-Treme City for producer Anubhav Sinha, to be shot in Dharavi.

Both films are realistic takes on present-day Mumbai, its splendour and stench. Boyle and Schrader have already visited Mumbai a number of times and met the two stars who have reportedly agreed to be part of the respective films.

Says a common friend of the two stars, "At the end of the day, a film about life in Mumbai is a film about life in the city. Even if two different directors from two different continents (Boyle is British, Schrader is American) work on two different projects, the spirit of the city is bound to be a common thread."

It is this overlap that the two filmmakers are said to be addressing. Says a source, "The teams behind both projects are aware that Mumbai is the hero of both films.

Both films are going to be shot in crowded localities of Mumbai. The problem is to figure out how to give the two films different looks."

Boyle has an edge, though. He has been there, done it before in Mumbai with Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire. He knows what facet of the city he will highlight in Maximum City.

Sound engineer Resul Pookutty, who once again teams up with Danny Boyle after Slumdog, says no two films about Mumbai can ever be the same, even if shot by the same director. "Mumbai is a versatile city. Maximum City will be very different from Slumdog."

Abhishek Bachchan on Deepika Padukone

Actor Abhishek Bachchan says he is glad that he didn't have to look down at Deepika Padukone while shooting Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey', because she is the 'tallest' actress to have appeared with him till date.

'Deepika (who is 5' 9') is the tallest of the ladies I have worked with. I could finally look at my co-actress in the eyes and didn't have to look down upon her. It was really nice and tall working with her,' Abhishek, who is 6' 3', told reporters here.

Abhishek and Deepika, along with director Ashutosh Gowariker and other cast and crew members, were here Monday to promote 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey', a film based on the Chittagong Uprising of the 1930s. The film releases Friday.

Dressed in a grey jacket and a pair of jeans to beat the Delhi chill, Abhishek looked dapper with a pair of shades and humbly responded to flying kisses from young girls at a shopping mall.

Deepika too looked graceful in a simple churidaar-kurta paired with golden Kolhapuri slippers.

Responding to a query regarding rumours that she has turned down an offer to work with Shahid Kapoor due to height issues, Deepika said: 'If that was the case, I won't be doing any movies at all!'

'If actors suit the character and the film, it doesn't matter if the girl is taller than the guy...So really, if directors start getting bothered by my height, I won't get any film at all.'

Aishwarya Rai in 'Ghuzarish'

Guess who is bonding big time? It is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shabana Azmi! According to our source, Azmi was so impressed with Aishwarya’s performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish that the veteran actress saw the film consecutively over two days.

Our source said, “The Bachchans held a special screening of Guzaarish. Besides her parents-in-law who were obviously impressed with Aishwarya’s performance, Shabana Azmi was also moved by the actress’ sensitive and emotional portrayal in the film. In fact, after the show, Amitabh promptly hugged his bahu, while other guests could not stop raving about her.”

Shabana though, went a step further, and made it a point to watch the film for the second time. “Shabana felt that Bhansali has captured the beauty of Aishwarya’s soul in the film. The veteran actress feels that it is one of her better performances.”
Aishwarya and Shabana have shared a warm and cordial relationship for over a decade now. “They have been friends even before she began her career as an actress. And Aishwarya often looked to Shabana for tips on acting. The friendship has only bloomed over the years.”

Ajay Devagan in 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji'

Madhur Bhandarkar’s experiment with comedy has taken shape. His first comic offering Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji with Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, and the 3 Idiots star Omi Vaidya is ready to hit the theatres on January 29, 2011.

The movie’s first promo was launched at Cinemax, Mumbai, on Sunday. The film’s actresses Shazahn Padamsee and south siren Shraddha Das were also present at the event. The film is about three men: Ajay plays a divorced man who is seeking new love, Omi is single and wants to find love, Emraan is single and a flirt who wants love, sex and money.

Madhur is ready to take you for a fun ride with these three men who are on a quest for love. In this film Emraan is paired for the first time opposite Shruti Haasan. The two also have intimate scenes in the film.

Akshay Kumar with Lara Dutta

Actors Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta had struck up a friendship on the sets of their first film together Andaaz way back in 2003, when in true hero-style Akshay had saved the actor from drowning during a scene.

And the two have been pretty pally ever since. In fact, according to an insider, even on the sets of their last release — Houseful — it was Akshay, Riteish and Lara who bonded the most.

For Kumar, Dutta’s always been one of the boys, while Lara considers Akshay to be her lucky mascot.

So, when Dutta recently plunged into production with Challo Dilli, she was keen to have Kumar do a cameo in her film. And Kumar, inspite of his hectic schedules, obliged. Says a source, “Akshay was really busy on the dates that Lara had approached him for, but he sorted out the dates with his producer to make time for her. Touted to be a comedy, the film is being directed by Shashant Shah (of Dasvidaniya fame) and see Lara opposite Vinay Pathak.

Amisha on brother Ashmit

Not too long ago, both of them were not even on talking terms and they refused to speak about each other. But the tables have turned now and Amisha Patel is openly voicing her support for her brother Ashmit who is slogging it on a reality TV show.

Amisha has also lashed out at actor Dolly Bindra, who’s locked in the house with her brother, for giving him a tough time. “I think he has handled everybody (inside the Bigg Boss house) in a much matured way. There are nasty people who always try to create controversies but my brother (Ashmit) has really done a good job in there,” Amisha said at a recent event.

Amisha also said that she regularly follows the show and is quite aware of the fact that her brother has managed to catch the glad eye of controversial Pakistani actor Veena Malik.

“I am following the show regularly. I think my brother is quite an eye-candy in the house and there are so many people showering compliments on him all the time. I feel good as a sister. There are girls flirting with him and he has handled all that pretty well,” she added.

Amisha and Ashmit had shared a rough relationship when relations started souring between her brother and parents after 1999 when she met film-maker Vikram Bhatt on the set of their first movie together, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002). In July 2004, she sent a legal notice to her father for mismanaging her accounts and assets. She patched up with Ashmit and her family five years later in 2009 when she was going steady with Kanav Puri. Amisha has now broken off with Kanav according to her Twitter updates.

Bollywood actress Amrita Rao walked the ramp in a red bridal outfit as the showstopper for designer Archana Kochhar's show at the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week (AVIBW), which was dedicated to NGO Nanhi Kali that works for the girl child.

"Today the collection was dedicated to Nanhi Kali. It is a charity that looks into the issues of a girl child. So when we are doing a show for brides, I thought that they all emerged from 'nanhi kalis' and its very important to create awareness about them so we did this show in association with this NGO," Archana told IANS.

The collection, which was an amalgamation of three lines, saw Amrita walking down the ramp wearing a heavy, red lehenga coupled with a long red sheer coat.

Asked why she roped in Amrita, the designer said: "It was a pleasure having Amrita as the showstopper. She is a very dear friend and I love having her as my showstopper. I love the way she carries her clothes and also the aura."

The actress too was excited to walk the ramp dressed as a bride.

"Being an actress I'm not professionally qualified to walk on the ramp but I have always enjoyed this experience. Though you are nervous as a turkey backstage, I think it's the sheer idea of entering into another territory that excites me," said Amrita.

The actress added that she was happy that the show was in association with an NGO for the girl child.

"When we do something for entertainment but is also done for a good cause, then one feels very good. I'm really happy to be part of this," she added.

The collection was called 'gulal', 'genda' and 'gehna', which are all part of a wedding in India.

The first segment of the show displayed garments in the colours of 'gulal' - red and pink. The second segment was inspired by 'genda' (marigold) and hence yellow and orange as colours were used. Then the final section was 'gehna' (ornaments) so the whole line was gold in colour and was embellished by red and green resembling rubies and emeralds.

Anil Kapoor in Mission Impossible 4

More than two decades after he did the disappearing act in Mr India , Anil Kapoor seems to have moved to Hollywood: he will act in the fourth instalment of Mission Impossible, a popular action thriller series of films starring Tom Cruise.

"At this point, I can only say that I have been contacted for Mission Impossible 4 and I have agreed for the role," Mr Kapoor told ET.

He will be starring alongside Tom Cruise, Paula Patton, French actress Lea Seydoux and Ving Rhames among others in the film being produced by Paramount Pictures . Some parts of the action thriller will be shot in Rajasthan starting this month end, said Sarabjit Singh, India head of Paramount Pictures. “Mission Impossible 4 will most likely be the last of the sequels," he said.

Directed by Brad Bird, the film is slated for release in December 2011. The budget is estimated to be over $150 million.

Mr Kapoor’s Hollywood affair started when he played a tough quiz game host in the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire. After that, he played an important part in prime time Hollywood television series 24, along side Kiefer Sutherland.
Mission Impossible first hit the screens in 1996 featuring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt. The film was among the top box-office grosser that year, earning nearly $452.5 million worldwide.

Mission Impossible 2, released in 2000, earned $545.3 million worldwide, while Mission Impossible 3 grossed $395.3 million in 2006, as per industry estimates.

In India too, all the three parts were successful. Mission Impossible earned `4 crore, part two collected `10 crore and part three grossed `15 crore, according to Paramount’s data.

The actress breaks her rules and shoots intimate scene with Salman Khan for her forthcoming film 'Ready'.

After the debacle of her last film 'London Dreams', the Southern beauty Asin is dying to strike back in Bollwood yet again. And the actress is ready to compromise on her rules that she laid while joining B-town.

Apparently, Asin who said no to skin show and kissing onscreen had to compromise on her rules for Salman Khan. According to a unit hand the actress has shot an extremely steamy scene with co star Salman for her forthcoming film 'Ready' which is a remake of a Telugu film.

"The script demanded a steamy scene between Salman and Asin. Knowing Asin, director Anees Bazmi spoke to her about it and explained the importance of the scene. Fortunately it wasn't difficult for Anees as Asin being a true professional gave her consent. And the scene has come out well," said a unit hand.

It seems Asin has finally realized that Bollywood doesn't work on terms and conditions. Der aaye durust aaye Asin!

Another one who is feeling wanted at the moment is Ayesha Takia. After she settled down into wedded bliss with hubby Farhan Azmi, she didn’t want the film industry to think she has quit acting. So she could forever be heard stressing that she was open to substantial film offers. Now isn’t that a bit ambitious considering such offers were few and far between even when she was at the best of her career. Clearly dearth of offers must have made Ayesha feel a bit unwanted. But then out of the blue I hear, Ayesha came across a script that completely blew her away.

A writer had written the actress-oriented film only keeping Ayesha in mind as she and I were told. And it was exactly the kind of script Ayesha saw herself doing at this point in time. The only hitch was that the writer was finding it difficult to find producers to back the project. That’s when her hubby Farhan stepped in, and from what I was told, he spoke to a few friends who were considering stepping into movie business. That was all the push that was needed and the film is ready to roll with Ayesha back in front of the arc lights.

Bhavana to get married

Bhavana has said that she will consider entering wedlock only after achieving something in her career. She rues those actresses who forayed into the film industry along with her have at least a couple of films that boasts of their performances while she has no such films to her credit.

The actress says that when people ask about her marriage, she has only one thought running in her mind – to play a memorable role and then settle for marital bliss.

There are many women who have given up their career for the love of the family, do not pursue success outside their own home and yet are tremendously happy being the traditional housewife. There are more women who are into sports, politics, NGOs and run their household with great dexterity without complaints. If at all a woman has given up her job after her marriage, it's her individual choice or the choice of her family, how they co-exist solely depends on their understanding.

Sadly, the director [Tekula Krupakar Reddy] ignores the above situations and single-mindedly generalizes Indira's (Bhumika) story, projects her as a bra burning feminist who after many years realizes that she lacks identity of her own and is being walked upon like a carpet by her father and husband. She is shown as a woman to whom marriage and motherhood is a sacrifice and attracts a movement by many women who have found their reflection in her plight.

Thankfully Indira is not mopping the floor and wiping the beads of sweat that trickle down her face, she is dressed in crisp cottons and remains almost mute for a full two hours of the film 'Collector Gari Bharya'. When the emotional atyachar begins to mount the pregnant Indira, she doesn't rebel, she goes to a Sai Baba temple and prays tearfully, and the result is almost instant. This time it's a boy and the chauvinist husband is deliriously happy.

The MBA turned housewife is enlightened in the temple again, an old friend offers her gyan and it works like magic on her. She goes on a strike at home, her hubby takes up the household chores, she holds press conferences and becomes a potential politician and finally the husband repents and lauds her contribution amidst her thousand admirers.

Prakash Raj and Bhumika Chawla are just set properties and their umbrage is hardly intense. There is no scope for compelling performances as they have been drilled, denied the opportunity to let their characters improvise or do anything unexpected. Prakash Raj plays a parochial character who despite being an IAS officer craves for a male child. He looks visibly uncomfortable, distracted in the role while Bhumika confines herself only to two expressions, sad and over worked. The audience cannot be more disinterested in a script that is so outdated and has been long banished into video obscurity.

Bipasha Basu to kiss Josh

Bipasha Basu is all set to shed her inhibitions for her first Hollywood venture Singularity opposite hottie Josh Hartnett, reports Mid Day. The actress who will be shooting for kissing and lovemaking scenes in the film says that she is perfectly comfortable doing the scenes.

Bips argument is, "If I can do kissing scenes in India then why not for a Hollywood film? I have only kissed John (Abraham) and Ranbir (Kapoor) in Bachna Ae Haseeno - though I tried to wriggle out of that."

Singularity is a passionate love story about an Indian bodyguard and a British soldier set apart in two time zones.

Apart from sizzling in hot scenes, the actress will also be doing some stunts in the film which is set in 17th century India and has the Anglo-Maratha war as its backdrop.

Says the actress, "I am the queen's bodyguard who is equipped for all kinds of action. I have to learn under water deep sea diving, horse riding, cirque de soli training and fencing - all in a month's time. I have told them that I am not a magician and can't learn so fast."

The actress is currently in Australia for the training of her action sequences.

"I feel like a little child going to new schools in a different country. I will learn everything," adds the actress.

It kind of makes sense that a movie titled “Bad Teacher” would come out in the summertime.

That’s what’s happening, now that Sony has shifted Jake Kasden’s black comedy “Bad Teacher” to its new release date, June 17, 2011.

“We love how this movie is shaping up, and our early test screenings confirm our confidence,” said Jeff Blake, chairman of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for Sony Pictures. “We have had tremendous results with summer comedies in the past several years, from ‘Superbad’ and ‘Step Brothers’ to ‘Grown Ups’ and ‘The Other Guys.’ Summer audiences want movies that will make them laugh out loud and we think ‘Bad Teacher’ is the perfect choice for older teens and adults who are looking for a film that will make them look at the high school experience and do just that.”

Celina Jaitley to perform for New Year Bash

Recently wed Vivek Oberoi, Govinda and Celina Jaitley unveiled New Year celebration plans at Country Club of India venues in Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai at a presser in Mumbai on November 12.

The three stars will perform at New Year's Eve parties themed 'Around the World.'

Vivek Oberoi will perform in Dubai, Govinda in Mumbai and the sensuous Celina Jaitley in Delhi.

Charmi in Mangala

After Mantra, the successful combo of Charmi and director Osho Tulasiram is back with another horror film Mangala. Tulasiram is producing the film with ChV Sharma as the co-producer. The makers have pretty much finished with the shooting and are currently into post-production. The audio of the film will be released next month. The producers say, "Mangala will be completely different from Mantra. The film will be gripping for whoever watches it from the word go. It's objective is not just to scare the audiences, but to provide a new experience. The scenes canned in Vikarabad forests would be loved by everyone. Charmi's character will be asset to the film." The camera work is by Dasarathi Sivendra and music is by Viswa.

Lisa Ray with Barbara Mori

Indian-American actress and director Namrata Singh Gujral's docu-drama, '1 a minute', starring cancer survivors like Lisa Ray and Barbara Mori is all set to hit theaters in India this month.

Written and directed by Gujral, '1 a minute' focuses on cancer and features female celebrities from around the world who survived the deadly disease, will release on October 29.

"The film is based on my own life and the lives of other women and their battle with cancer, with a focus on breast cancer. It documents the experiences of celebrity survivors and serves as an inspiration for cancer patients as well as their families," Namrata said.

She intends to rope in actress Shabana Azmi and other regional stars to dub the film in different languages to create awareness and raise funds for cancer patients in India.

"We are thinking of taking Shabanaji and other regional stars to dub the movie in Hindi and other languages in India.

RGV Desperate to make movie with Chiru

It seems filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is over excited about Southern superstar Chiranjeevi's comeback. After expressing his desire to direct Chiru's 150 th film, now he wants the star to turn director and direct his own film.

"If after 149 films experience Chiranjeevi doesn't know what film making is then who the hell can know? According to me the only director who will be capable of directing Chiranjeevi in his 150th film is Chiranjeevi himself," said Ram Gopal Varma while talking about his favorite actor Chiru's comeback film.

RGV who is eager to work with Chiru, forgiving and forgetting their earlier feud, feels that no existing directors can direct him. "Some directors made Chiranjeevi flop... but Chiranjeevi made no director flop and that is proof that he understands direction more than any director. Whole Andhra Pradesh will die to see a film directed by Chiranjeevi. I can't wait to see a title card which says 'Directed by Chiranjeevi'," said Ramu.

Needless to say RGV is going mad over his favorite Chiru. Hope, the star is aware of RGV's desperation!

Danny Boyle shocks Fans with 127 Hours

Film fans threw up and passed out at the premiere of Danny Boyle’s shocking new movie, 127 hours. Many fans even walked out in disgust during the movie, which tells the true story of American Aron Ralston, 35, who was trapped under a rock in a canyon for five days and had to cut his own arm off.

The most harrowing moment sees the thrillseeker — played by Spiderman star James Franco — rip through muscle with pliers. The celeb-packed audience was not able to cope with the gruesome scenes in the movie and paramedics had to treat a few of them.

“Loads of people were freaking out. I heard someone being sick behind me,” a movie-goer said.

Deepika Padukone in 'Break Ke Baad'

'Break Ke Baad' is a new romantic comedy with Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan in the lead roles. After the debacle of 'Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic', film critic turned director Kunal Kohli has turned full time producer with 'Break Ke Baad', directed by his former Assistant Director Danish Aslam.

Featuring Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan in the lead, 'Break Ke Baad' looks like a run of the mill breezy romantic multiplex film, usually associated with the likes of Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions.

"Break Ke Baad no only explores the space factor between couples but also the space we nowadays experience between parents, people in general. Nowadays everybody is talking the space language. That's the beauty of Break ke Baad," says Kunal Kohli.

The film revolves around Abhay and Aliya, childhood sweethearts who've literally grown up with each other who decide to take a break and give their relationship some space to see how things work out. For the director, Imran and Deepika fitted the roles perfectly.

"I have no idea why has not anyone cast them before. Imran is exactly like Abhay and Deepika is like Aliya Khan that it is hard to believe that she is not like Aliyah in real life," says Danish Aslam.

With music by Vishal-Shekhar and lyrics by Prasoon Joshi 'Break Ke Baad' also stars Sharmila Tagore, Lillete Dubey and Shahana Goswami and hits screens on November 26.

Dimple Kapadia for a Social Cause

Actors Lisa Ray and Dimple Kapadia will be the faces of the breast cancer awareness programme that kick-starts with the Women’s Cancer Initiative — Tata Memorial Hospital (WCI-THM).

The organisation was founded in October 2003 by Devieka Bhojwani with the hospital and helps patients suffering from breast, cervix and ovary cancer.

The initiative is organising an Annual Breast and Gynaecological Cancer Conference between October 22 and 24. Dimple Kapadia will be the guest of hounour.

Like before, an iconic South Mumbai hotel will be illuminated in pink light on the night of October 21 where Lisa take the lead.
“The pink tower represents the pink ribbon, the universal symbol of breast health and the fight against breast cancer.

The message to the city: Save a life — yours. A simple self-examination every month is all it takes to detect breast cancer; and an early detection is the simplest cure. Due to the high number of women found to have shown positive signs of developing Breast or Cervical Cancer in future, the health camps will continue to be conducted. The Foundation also pays for the treatment of the women diagnosed,” says a spokesperson of the organisation.

“The lifetime risk of breast cancer in urban India is 1 in 30 women, whereas in rural areas the rate of affected women is 1 in 75. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai. The largest affected segment is that of women in the age group of 40 to 50 years.

These figures are expected to rise by 200 per cent by the year 2020,” the spokesperson informs.

Diya Mirza Hot Gossips

Bollywood beauty Dia Mirza looked stunning in a white wedding lehenga as the showstopper for designer Rocky S. on the opening day of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week here.

Giving an unconventional approach to his collection, Rocky used white for his showstopper -- a colour not usually used for weddings.

"What is interesting is to see an Indian bride in a white lehenga. So surreal and beautiful. The garment is stunning and I think that in itself is a reflection of the line. What Rocky is trying to do with this collection is asking why stick with the mould? Break it and try something new," Dia told IANS late Friday.

"And I think it works very well because wearing it I felt beautiful. The garment is stunning and quite honestly, if I were to be getting married, white could be quite a colour for me," the actress said.

Rocky's collection also entailed other shades including maroon, red, burgundy, beige, brown, pink, peach, grey and black along with a few more whites.

"The signature colours were black and white but I have used a lot of other hues too. I feel today we are out of the typical Indian colours. We are now in a new generation, when you see the collection you will realise that it is styled in a very modern way," said Rocky.

"Just because it is a bridal collection, we don't have to be completely Indian in our approach. We are today's people and we dress up in a very different manner than just wearing a typical lehenga or a salwar kameez," he added.

The designer's collection, along with Indian lehenga's and sarees, also included varied cocktail dresses and westernised kurtis and tights.

The show also had something for the men. Male models showcased what a bridegroom can look forward to this wedding season. Velvet blazers, bright, embroidered and plain sherwanis and classic tuxedos completed the men's collection.

The show, however, did face a slight glitch, when a model sporting a net sari, slipped while coming down the stairs.
